TDC Meeting

First meeting of the New Year (no minutes for approval)

 

Treasurer’s Report (Anita Williams):    

 

Anita went over the budget with the attendees.   $74,532 total income.   $72,159 total expenses.  $8016 outstanding bills for 2209.

 

The board will work on the 2010 budget and will present it at the February board meeting.

 

Vice President (Michelle Galvan):

 

Memberships:   Michelle will be talking to Westview High School Board to discuss how they handle their memberships and look at getting some ideas regarding the 2010 year.

 

Presented membership form for voting at meeting.  Board and voting members approved the new form for 2010.

 

A few changes were made on the membership form.  1) Changed the cost of the bench advertisement to $2000.  Eliminate the choices of gifts on the Touchdown membership and will give the member some choices out of the apparel trailer with a cap on the amount TBD.

 

Fundraiser Event for 2010:  Lift-a-thon (all levels), Discount Cards (Flag), Membership Drive (High School only), Ram Cards (Youth), Entertainment Books (Youth)

 

We have also been given the opportunity to run a concession at girl’s basketball or girl’s volleyball.  All proceeds will go to the TDC.  More information to follow on the dates that we will need volunteers.

 

President (Linda Watzig):    The Touchdown Club year runs from February to February.  That is when all board levels will be open for election.  All board members will be returning for another year of elections.

 

The Board will be looking at some other vendor’s for photography.  We feel it is good to have a few options to use for all of the events that we need photography for.   The Board has received proposal and we will be reviewing and will update at the next board meeting.

Let all members know that the by-laws are on the website for anyone to review.  No changes were made for 2010.

 

A reminder that you need to be a member of the TDC in-order to vote on any issues.  However, you do not have to be a member to attend the meetings.

 

Coaches Update (Joe Bushman):   Joe would like all parents to know about Barton Football Academy.  CHS football program supports this program for all levels of play.  Go to  www.bartontraining.com  for more information on camps available.

 

Saturday work-outs will begin after Spring break.  Workouts will run from April 3rd   M-W-F 9:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m.   Workouts will continue until spring football training begins on Memorial Day.

 

The football staff is considering Camp Howard again this year or Canby Camp.   The dates for the camp would be August 16th-19th.  More information to follow on what camp is decided.

 

Youth Skills Camp will be held April 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th,  May 5th and 12th.  It will be from 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at CHS.  The cost will be $10.00 a session or $50.00 for the complete 6 sessions.

 

 

Other Business:  Mary Johnson was elected to be the Youth liaison member to be present at all TDC board meetings.  This will help keep the Youth informed with what is going on at the high school level.
